Regional awards

The Jeff Cook Salver

The Jeff Cook Salver was presented to the Region at its inception in 2005.

Jeff Cook was the district secretary of Southern Counties ASA, a FINA diving official and was a member of the FINA diving committee and was the ASA President in 2003. Jeff was instrumental in the movement from districts to regions, and the setting up, through the ASA Board, of the group that undertook the exercise.

Jeff died before the regions were establishment and his family gave a salver to each of the three regions which evolved from Southern Counties ASA, South East, London and the East.

The intention is that the salver is awarded to a person, team or club that has made a significant contribution to the sport within the region.

Swim England East Region invites nominations for the award annually in June/ July. Nominations are considered by an Awards Sub-group of the Swim England East Region Management Board with the salver presented to the successful candidate at the Annual Council Meeting.
