Swimmer Development:
The East Region hosts an annual Open Water Development Day for swimmers aged 11 – 17 years.
Thank you to all who have expressed their interest for the Open Water Development Day. We are currently working though the expression of interest and will be in contact with all Swimmers at the start of April.
The camp is split into two sections;
- The morning is an introduction to Open Water swimming with a mix of classroom and in-water skills work.
- In the afternoon we run a race simulation event, which comprises two race distances. The first of these races is a shorter course and is a perfect introduction to open-water racing for those new to the sport. Our second race simulation is a longer distance for those with Open Water experience, who wish to start this season with a friendly race.
This event is open to all regional members who have experience of Open Water Swimming or those who wish to take their first steps into the world of Open Water.
There are 40 spaces available on a first come first service basis. Once these 40 spaces have been filled registration will close.
