Information received from the ASA about Licensed Swimming Meets
As you are aware the ASA have recently started the new licensing system and part of this is that is no longer necessary to input the meet details onto the Calendar on the ASA/British Swimming website. A list of Licensed Meets can now be found on the ASA rankings page at www.swimmingresults.org
If you look at the blue bar going across the page select Licensed meets and the list of meets will appear.
Do not select Calendar, as at the present time this is not linked to the list, and is not being updated with the new meets.
The ASA are working on linking the Calendar to the Licensed meet list.

The ASA have recently published new guidelines for the licensing of Open Meets, they can be found at http://www.swimming.org/asa/library/document/asa-open-meet-licensing-criteria
This has caused us to review our approach to Open Meets in March 2015. Under the previous guidelines they had been in a protected window and so a licence was refused, but that has now changed. We will now consider applications under the new guidelines. Any licences issued under the old guidelines for the period January to March 2015 are not affected.
