Amie's hat-trick of wins at County Team Championship

AMIE Philpot was a three-time winner in the Division One final of the ASA National County Team Championships at Sheffield. 

The Suffolk swimmer claimed victories in the girls’ 12/13 100m backstroke (1:03.70) and 100m butterfly (1:02.65) as well as teaming up with Mia Maspers, Freya Lines and Lija Radziunaite to touch first in the 4x50m medley relay (2:01.50).

Maspers also claimed individual success in the 100m freestyle (57.90secs), while Rebecca Sherwin won the 14/15 100m freestyle (57.12secs) as Suffolk finished in 16th spot.

Hertfordshire were the highest-placed East Region team with an impressive eighth spot overall.

In the Division Two final, Essex finished third overall, helped by wins for James Cooper (12/13 boys 100m freestyle - 56.54secs), George Epsly (16/17 100m butterfly - 57.11secs) and the women’s 16/17 4x50m medley team of Martha Duley, Holly Hildrew, Amrita Robertson and Holly Taylor.

Cambs were seventh overall, claiming race wins through the efforts of Mia Leech in the 12/13 girls’ 100m breaststroke (1:14.77) and Leah Roughan (16/17 100m breaststroke - 1:09.86).

Norfolk finished 14th and Bedfordshire 17th.
