East Region Para-Swimming Meet 2026
Swim England East Region will be holding their Para-Swimming Meet at Newmarket Leisure Centre, Exning Rd, Newmarket CB8 0EA
Date: Sunday 27th September 2026
Time: Warm up 3.30pm Start time 4pm

Swimmers on the functional classification waiting list, or have an active application with UKSA or INAS, made within the last 24 months, are invited to compete. They must still meet the Swim England Club Compete membership requirement. They would achieve a time in a licensed event but will not be eligible to receive medals.

Aquatics GB Para Swimming CPD for Technical Officials
The CPD is an introduction to officiating at events that include swimmers with a disability, aimed at swimming technical officials, Judge Level 1 or above. This CPD will give an overview of Functional Classification System, Terminology & Sport Class Overview including knowledge of World Para Swimming (WPS) rules and rule exceptions.
The CPD is free and attracts 3 points towards the renewal of the BS officials Licence.

National Junior Para-Swimming Championships
The National Junior Para-Swimming Championships are usually held in June.

Para-Swimming officials
Officials at Para Swimming events will go down the usual swimming officials training route.
There will be an officials’ CPD held at the annual Regional Para- Swimming Championships to provide further training for officials in a Para-Swimming environment.
