On 29th February 2020, the Region hosted it’s first open water coach development day in Hatfield. The event was also acting as a pilot to help shape future national open water coach development requirements and opportunities. For further details from day, please read the event report.
The Swim England Open Water National Age Group Championships were held on 5th August at the new venue of Thrybergh Country Park, Rotherham. In total, there were 37 swimmers taking part from East Region clubs, with a gold medal for Ruby Wheeler (Basildon & Phoenix) in the girls 13 years, 2K event. There was also
A Level 2 Open Water Coaching Course is now available to book. The course will have face-to-face days on 2nd June and 17th August with online learning to complete between these two dates. Bookings will be accepted from members of clubs affiliated to Swim England East Region and places will cost £325 per learner. For
