Fifteen swimmers from East Region clubs competed at the FINA World Masters Championships in Gwangju, South Korea between 12th and 18th August. The East Region Masters Inter-County Competition was held at Basildon Sporting Village on 17th November and saw Essex come away with top spot after finishing on 246 points.
