Adding to the success enjoyed by swimmers from the East Region in the pool, Swim England East Region is also proud to celebrate the selection of six officials from the region to be part of the Commonwealth Games Glasgow 2026.
Stewart Murray, Tom Baster, Louise Mackie, Gerry Metcalf, David Metcalf and Craig Hunter were all selected to play an important role at the Games, representing the outstanding quality, experience and commitment of officials across the East Region.
Being selected for a major international event such as the Commonwealth Games is a fantastic achievement and recognises the years of dedication, knowledge and expertise that officials bring to the sport. Their contribution helps ensure athletes can compete at the highest level in a fair, safe and professionally managed environment.
With the East Region enjoying significant success in the pool, the involvement of six officials from the region makes Glasgow 2026 an even greater occasion to celebrate.
