Applications are now open for the Swim England Aquatics Coach Mentoring Programme 2026–2027, providing an excellent opportunity for coaches to develop their coaching knowledge and practice with the support of an experienced mentor.
The one-year programme is designed to support and challenge aspiring coaches, helping them to learn, develop and grow through a combination of individual mentoring, coaching observations, group learning sessions and whole cohort workshops.
The programme includes:
- Four individual mentoring sessions
- Two group sense-making sessions
- One observation of your coaching
- One shadowing or co-coaching session with your mentor
- Three whole cohort events throughout the programme
The programme is open to coaches working in child, youth and performance development environments who hold a minimum of a Swim England Coach (Level 2) qualification (or equivalent) and can commit to the full 12-month programme.
Applications close at midnight on Tuesday 25 August 2026.
