Clubs

There are over 130 affiliated clubs in Swim England East Region. Between them they provide training and competitive opportunities across all swimming disciplines diving, swimming (competitive, Learn to Swim, disability and open water), artistic swimming and water polo.

Some clubs may offer a programme for one or two hours a week, whilst others offer competitive training sessions for over 20 hours per week.

What each of these clubs has in common is their membership.  This is at the heart of every club and the focus of everything they do.

Club Constitutions

Every club affiliated to the region will be run by a committee according to their club’s constitution.  Swim England issue guidance on constitutions, including a model club constitution.

All clubs must review their constitution annually and are required to submit their constitution to the Region every four years (the process is detailed here) where it will be approved by the Regional Membership Officer.  Proof of this submission will be needed for all member clubs.

Constitution Workshop

These workshops are held periodically.

Parent Resource.

This resource has been produced with our clubs in mind, and the support they can provide to parents during their journey in the world of aquatics. It has been built using the most commonly asked questions we receive from parents, together with insight from our East Club Leadership Group and our East Coaches’ Forum.

The purpose of this resource is for club committees to use as they wish, adding club logos, images, links, and details as required. You may not wish to utilise all the sections, or you may want to add some topics not covered. This document provides a platform to build your own parent resource to provide the best communication for our aquatic families along the pathway.
