Masters Swimming

21 August 2015

Masters swimming is essentially swimming for adults over 18 years and encompasses casual fitness swimming to highly-organised competitive swimming.

How far you go with Masters swimming is up to you. The broad objectives are better health, getting fit, and friendship between swimmers.

If you want to race competitions are held regionally, nationally and internationally but there is no compulsion to compete.

Masters Swimming in the East Region

The East Region run a Masters Championships and a masters development day annually.  Entry information for the championships can be found via the Masters drop-down menu at the top of the page.  Development days will be advertised on our website and social media pages, as well as via our Masters mailing list.  Previous development days have included short and long course pool sessions, land work and classroom sessions on a range of subjects including nutrition and psychology (see photo, left, Masters coach Steve Bratt talks to swimmers during a development day in Basildon).

If you can't find the information you are looking for on our website, please contact our Masters Manager.

Further information can also be found on the Masters Hub on the ASA website.
