Level 1: This is broken up into 2 units. Unit 1 is 'core' or 'generic' ie it applies to all disciplines. Unit 2 is discipline specific. As there are very few discipline specific tutors at the moment we are splitting Unit 1 and 2 so that we only have to use the discipline specific tutors for Unit 2.
The Course: Unit 1 will be held in Hatfield at the Herts Sports Village over 3 days( 14th April, 21st April, 22nd April) and will be tutored by Jan Brinkley. Unit 2 will be in Norwich over 2 days (28th and 29th April) and will be tutored by Jenny Grey. We have 12 places available for Unit 1 and 16 places available for Unit 2. Coaches/teachers who currently hold a Level 2 swimming teachers qualification need only take the syncro specific unit ie Unit 2.
The cost of the course is £370 (£222 for Unit 1 and £148 for Unit 2). Clubs who are Swim 21 accredited or working towards can apply for funding.Candidates are responsible for their own accomodation but details of local accomodation will be supplied.
