I started when I was 7, at my local Leisure Centre in Potters Bar.

What has been your best experience so far in swimming?

Being part of the team that won the 4 x 100m Freestyle Relay at the National Age Groups in 2003 - it was my first National Gold medal.

What are your ambitions for next year?

I am swimming in the World Cup meets in January, so to swim well in those, and to win the 200IM and 400IM at National Youth Championships.

What are your long term ambitions?

To be part of the 2012 experience - in the pool!

What do your schoolfriends think about your swimming?

My friends are quite hard to impress!

What do you enjoy doing outside swimming?

I have just taken up playing the drums, and I also enjoy going out with my friends.

Who are your sporting heroes?

Lance Armstrong

Where is your favourite swimming pool?

University of Hertfordshire - our training pool.  I always swim well there.
