Are you a Water Polo player and coach who would like a better understanding of the game, or would like to become a qualified referee?
The ASA East Region is hosting a Referee Course on 1st/2nd March at Deben pool, Woodbridge, Suffolk - and it is open to players and coaches from across the region. You do not have to take the refereeing qualification to attend - the session on Saturday 1st March will cover all the questions about rules and interpretations which are raised by players, coaches and referees, so you could attend for the Saturday only if you wish. This is also suitable for current referees to brush up on their knowledge and interpretations of the rules.
Attendance is free - if you want to take the theory and practical exams to qualify as a British Water Polo Grade D Referee, there is a £10 exam fee.
The weekend's sessions will be led by Chris Freebury, who is a GB and International referee and has a wealth of refereeing experience both domestically and in International matches.
Please contact Chris Stephens, ASA East Region Water Polo Manager, on: waterpolo@eastswimming.org to register your attendance for one or both days. Chris will take bookings right up to the Saturday morning, so it is not too late to register!
