Bishop's Stortford swimmer Matthew Barton is celebrating after winning six gold medals in the European heart/lung Transplant Games in France. 

Matthew,who had a heart transplant aged just five months old, won gold in the 50m Freestyle, 50m Backstroke, 50m Breaststroke, 100m Freestyle, 100m Breaststroke and the relay. 

Matthew is now looking forward to competing at the British Transplant Trials in Sheffield this month, with an eye on selection for the World Transplant Games in 2010 in Sydney.
