Following on from her awards from both the ASA East Region and the asa for Young Volunteer of the Year Awards as part of the Aquaforce Awards, Laura Cotton of Deben SC has been short listed for the sports coach UK Young Coach of the Year Award.
The awards ceremony is being held on Wednesday 17th December at the Dorchester Hotel, London in the presence of HRH The Princess Royal. These awards are an annual event that recognise the very best coaches in the UK.
Lauren is one of five swimming coaches that have been shortlisted for the various awards. At 17 years of age Laura’s her coaching along with her enthusiasm and boundless energy has seen her grow and mature and is now a valued member of the Deben Swiming Club coaching team. When any of the swimmers Laura teachers/coaches achieve a PB or make even the smallest achievement, her praise of them is infectious and the respect she has gained from the swimmers, parents and other coaches within the club is so well deserved.
