The ASA East Region welcomes Carl Cooper as a new Regional Development Officer, with particular responsibiity for Hertfordshire and Essex.  Carl will also work with all of the 'swimming' disciplines: swimming, disability swimming, masters swimming and open water swimming.   Carl can be contacted in the regional office, via: carl.cooper@swimming.org or on 07799 656412. 

Carl has a background as a competitive swimmer with Colchester SC and has also coached at Colchester, Hadleigh SC, Halstead SC and Sudbury SC.  He has many years of experience in open water swimming and completed a solo Channel swim in 1985. 

Carl looks forward to meeting the various clubs, county associations and external partners that he will be working with, and driving forward swimming development across the region.
