A young swimmer from Norwich has been included in a group of some of Britain's best emerging swimming talent who will face tough competition this week at the FINA World Cup events in Stockholm and Berlin.
Anne Bochmann (UEA City of Norwich SC) is in the 13-strong team who will compete in Sweden on 11th and 12th November before continuing to Germany for the conclusion of the series on 15th and 16th November.
Britain's squad will be lead by Team Head Coach Chris Martin who believes the World Cup events offer developing swimmers a valuable opportunity to gain senior international experience.
"In the past the World Cup events have been used for athletes to take their first step up onto the international scene," Martin said.
"The athletes on this year's squad have performed well previously at the European Junior Championships or the World Youth Championships and these meets are going to be a good opportunity for them to step up and rub shoulders with more senior athletes.
""The World Cups have always been pretty good to British Swimming in terms of providing an important bridge from the junior to senior squad."
