Third spot for East Region Under-18 Boys in Manchester
THREE wins from their five matches saw the East Region Under-18 Boys claim third spot in Division Two of the Inter-Regional Water Polo Championships in Manchester, while a very young Under-18 Girls team finished fifth in Group B at Walsall.

WATFORD have qualified for the qualification rounds of the Under-19 Boys' ASA National Age Group Water Polo Championships. In their home pool, they finished third in Group B of the Prelims behind defending champions Solihull and City of Manchester A. The top three all finished on six points with three wins from four matches. Watford beat City of Leeds 8-0, City of Manchester B 4-3 and City of Manchester A 4-3, while losing 9-5 to Solihull.

Watford make progress in National Under-17 Championships
WATFORD safely booked their place in the qualification round of the Under-17 Boys’ ASA National Age Group Water Polo Championships.
The Hertfordshire club finished third in Group B of the Prelim competition at Walsall and now join Exeter, Solihull, Sedgefield, City of Manchester and Invicta in the next stage on March 28/29. Watford began with three wins against Grantham (10-0), Cwm Draig B (23-1) and Chelmsford (9-5) before losing to Group B winners Exeter (10-3) and runners-up Solihull (8-1).
The East Region’s other representatives, Chelmsford, finished fourth thanks to victories over Cwm Draig B (15-0) and Grantham (4-1) and go into the Plate competition in Manchester on April 25/26.

Best is yet to come says dive star Omer
SOUTHEND Diving’s Duran Omer claimed two medals at the British Gas Diving Championships in Plymouth but still believes his best is yet to come this season.
The 17-year-old finished second in the 1m springboard junior final and took third in the 3m event. “Overall I’m pleased with how it went and picking up the two medals but I do feel as though I have more to give and I will aim to show that in the forthcoming events,” said Omer.
“In the three metre final I actually hit both of my feet on the board which brought some tension and real difficulty. It tested me mentally but I stayed in the right mindset and finished with some good dives."

Safeguarding and Protecting Children Workshop- few spaces remaining
There are a few spaces remaining for the Safeguarding and Protecting Children Workshop happening this weekend at Culford Sports and Tenns Centre, Culford School, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, IP28 6TX. The cost is £20 payable via BACS. This workshop is recommended for all teachers and coaches that work regularly with children and young people and is a criteria for swim21.
