ASA East Region Annual Council Meeting 2017
The Annual Council Meeting, will take place on Saturday 9th September 2017 at Freckenham Village Hall commencing at 10.30 am. The agenda for this meeting will be published on the ASA East Region website, and circulated to club and county secretaries in July.
Dry Land Facility and Parent Talk- Weekend Two
To facilitate athlete preparation and recovery, the East Swimming Committee will be providing the use of a dry land training area during the second weekend of the East Swimming Long Course Championships.
There will also be a free Parent Talk provided by Fred Furniss, England Programmes Officer, during sessions 13 and 14, for all parents to attend.

Regional Players Selected for U17 GB Squad
Congratulations to Finlay Parnell of Teamipswich and Aril Pandya of Watford WPC who have been selected for the GB U17 squad which will be taking part in the LEN Europena Junior Water Polo Championships Qualification Tournament taking place in Manchester from 11-14th May. Swimming Insurance Centre
Swim England and Perkins Slade have been working together to produce a useful online resourse to help answer any queries our members have regarding insurance. The site has a really useful FAQ section with lots of questions answered that you may have. The resource can be found HERE.
Officials Needed for Regional Championships in Norwich
Applications are invited from Regional licensed BS officials to officiate at the East Swimming Long Course Championships being held over the bank holiday weekend at Norwich. The Region cannot run these competitions without the support of volunteers.
If you are interested in offering your services, both the Saturday and Sunday are currently filling fast. The Monday has numerous vacancies.

Job Vacancy- Regional Swimming Talent Officer
The ASA East Region is seeking a full time Swimming Talent Officer to join the team and will be responsible for managing and delivery of the talent pathway in the region. The successful applicant will be responsible for understanding the England Programmes Strategy and how this effects the talent pathway and provide expertise to support the development whilst mentoring performance coach development across all programmes. So if you feel you have the suitable skills and attributes for this position then we would like to hear from you.
Swim England Open Water Festival 2017
The Swim England Open Water Festival will take place on 30th and 31st July at Rother Valley. It will include the National Open Water Age Groups and National Open Water Masters Championships as well as a mass participation event. For more information, please click HERE.
Swimming Assistant Coach Course Available
We are pleased to confirm that an Assistant Coach course (Level 1) is available in the region. The course will run in Hoddesdon, please click HERE for more information.
The course will be part online blended learning followed by two days and one evening face to face. The blended learning must be 100% complete prior to attending the face to face days.
The cost will be £200 per learner if there are more than 10 learners on the course. All enquiries must reach us no later than Friday 9th June, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve a space. Places are offered on a first come, first served basis.
